Zouhair Abdul Khaliq

Zouhair Abdul Khaliq has 40 years of experience in Leadership, Board Strategy, Operations, Turnarounds, Startups, Scale-ups and M&A.
He is Managing Partner at Teamup Ventures, a MENAP focused Venture Builder. He is Non Exec Director at Friesland Campina Engro Foods, National Foods and Member Board of Regents, Harris Manchester College, Oxford University. He has served on Non-Executive Boards in UAE, Egypt, Jordan, Tunisia, Algeria, Bangladesh and Pakistan and on Advisory Boards in UK, US, Ireland, Asia Pacific and as Senior Advisor, Better Than Cash Alliance, UN Capital Development Fund and as Member of the PM’s Task Force on IT & Telecom. He setup and managed the National Incubation Centre Pakistan from 2017-2023.
As employee #1 and CFO, Mobilink and later as CEO he led its growth from 1m-32m customers, revenues from US$ 80 million to US$ 1.4 billion, making it one of 5 fastest growing companies in Asia Pac and the largest private sector company in Pakistan. He set up the Mobilink Foundation in 2006 to provide children with free access to education and healthcare. As MD Mobile for Development, GSM Association, he managed a US$150 million fund investing globally in startups. He led a US$ 1.6 billion refinancing of Orascom Telecom and the restructuring of US$ 1.1 billion at Warid Telecom. He led the set up of Mobilink Microfinance Bank and launch of digital banking in Bangladesh and Tunisia.
He is a member of the Institute of Chartered Accountants England & Wales and an alumnus of INSEAD, France.
