Ofovwe Aig-Imoukhuede

Ofovwe Aig-Imoukhuede is a committed philanthropist and social impact leader whose career bridges the worlds of finance, law, governance and human development.

With over three decades of experience across the financial services and non-profit sectors, she has become a driving force for sustainable social transformation in Africa.

As Co-Founder and Executive Vice-Chair of the Aig-Imoukhuede Foundation, she leads an ambitious agenda to close the gap between Africa and the rest of the world by improving lives through strengthened public institutions and equitable access to quality primary healthcare. Under her leadership, the Foundation works at the nexus of public policy, private capital, and leadership development, empowering Africa’s next generation of reformers to build effective governments and resilient systems.

Her work reflects a deep belief in Africa’s potential to transform itself from within. She oversees the Foundation’s strategy and execution, guiding a team dedicated to catalysing governance reforms, investing in frontline health systems, and expanding the reach of leadership and scholarship programmes in partnership with global institutions such as Oxford University’s Blavatnik School of Government.

Beyond the Foundation, Ofovwe’s philanthropic influence extends to multiple platforms advancing education, equity, and inclusion. She is Co-Chair of the Africa Advisory Board of The King’s Trust International, and she serves as Vice-Chair of The Ovie Brume Foundation, which provides educational opportunities to underserved Nigerian children. She is also a member of the Advisory Board of the Oxford University Africa Society.

A Chevening Scholar and lifelong learner, Ofovwe holds an LLB from King’s College London, an MBA from the University of Cambridge, and an MSc in Development Management from the London School of Economics. She is also a certified MBTI and FIRO-B practitioner and a qualified coach, credentials that underscore her commitment to unlocking human potential and shaping values-based leadership across Africa.
