Michael Nartey is a former Investment Banker with 30 years’ experience in the Investment Banking Industry at Goldman Sachs and Barclays Investment Bank.
Michael joined Barclays in 2011 and during his time at the bank held several leadership roles within the Markets Division most recently leading the Securitised Products Solutions business in EMEA. Prior to that he led the Cross Asset Solutions Team globally and before that led Commodities Distribution in EMEA. He was a member of several governance and oversight committees across the Corporate and Investment Bank and run the Bank’s diversity network for a number of years.
Prior to Barclays, Michael worked at Goldman Sachs where he spent 15 years in a variety of senior roles in the Markets business in Europe. He also led the Firmwide Black Network in Europe for several years.
Michael is a Chartered Accountant (England & Wales) by profession and holds an MBA from the London Business School.
Michael is an investor and advisor to an early-stage AI and synthetic biology start-up and has served on the Board of Governors at the University of East London. He is married with 2 adult sons and lives in London.
