Launching our Digital & Technology Advisory Group

1st April 2026

On March 3rd, we were proud to launch a new Digital & Technology Advisory Group, bringing together a global network of technology leaders to help expand digital skills, strengthen digital inclusion, and create meaningful employment opportunities for young people worldwide.

As we work towards our 10-year goal to support over 1 million young people to unlock their potential and find meaningful work, we know that technology, and the opportunities and risks it presents, will shape every young person’s journey.

Why Digital Skills Matter

Our 2025 Future Of Work Report highlights the urgent challenges young people face in accessing the skills they need to succeed in a digital economy. These include outdated education systems, limited access to devices and connectivity, rapidly evolving technologies, and persistent gender disparities.

Yet, despite these barriers, young people continue to bring the creativity, energy and resilience that the world urgently needs. Our holistic approach aims to ensure that every young person, wherever they are, gains the digital skills and confidence to thrive safely and successfully in the modern economy.

Our Four Strategic Priorities for Digital Transformation

Our Digital & Technology Advisory Group will guide this work across four strategic priorities:

  • Content: Equipping young people with essential digital and employability skills to succeed in the future of work
  • Products: Using digital innovation to enhance the reach, quality and impact of our programmes while not compromising on young people’s safeguarding
  • Technology: Strengthening the systems and infrastructure that enable our global operations
  • Partnerships & Fundraising: Unlocking new investment, expertise and collaboration to scale our impact

Launching the Advisory Group

We were pleased to hold our inaugural meeting at Google, kindly hosted by Alex Rutter, EMEA Managing Director for Artificial Intelligence at Google Cloud. This first session brought members together to share insights, identify opportunities and begin shaping the future direction of our digital transformation.

DTAG Launch

We were excited to convene an esteemed group of technology leaders who share our vision to empower young people and bring deep insight on the positive role that technology can play. Their collective expertise will help us realise the full power of digital transformation, both for young people and across our organisation, ensuring our programmes remain relevant, safe and truly future facing.
