Launching Our New Brand With James Sommerville
On 15 October we unveiled our new brand, created pro-bono by renowned creative director and former beneficiary of The King’s Trust, James Sommerville OBE.
Creative director James is one of more than 1.3 million people who have been supported by The King’s Trust Group around the world to date. He co-founded his first design agency, ATTIK, with support and a grant from The Trust in the UK in 1986, when he was a 19-year-old street artist in Huddersfield, West Yorkshire. ATTIK grew to become one of the UK’s most respected design firms and was acquired by Dentsu, Japan in 2007. James later went on to become Vice President of Global Design at The Coca-Cola Company.
In 2019 James founded “KnownUnknown”, a distributed creative talent platform whose clients include Mr BEAST, Google, Kellogg’s and Ford.
James now lives in Atlanta, Georgia, and is a current Patron of The Trust where he speaks on a bi-monthly basis to young people on the Enterprise course.
James was appointed as an OBE in The King’s Birthday Honours List in June 2024.
